Working with the refurbishment contractor, we are undertaking a series of alterations, new installations and improvements to the air conditioning and ventilation plant.

This is an extremely fast paced project, ongoing design and build process, incorporating everything from new air source heat pump installations to MVHR systems for specific areas and a brand new Air Handling Unit being craned on to the roof.  We have worked closely with the main contractor to deliver this project on time for the Trust.

Our installations comprise of a 25 unit Daikin VRV system, installation of extract systems to toilets, bathrooms & laundry/kitchen areas, Daikin VAM Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation systems to the office areas. We have decommissioned and stripped out the existing redundant air handling unit which serves all 3 floors, ready for the new AHU we are having craned on to the roof. We have installed 100’s of meters of new ductwork, pipe work and cabling with dampers, fire smoke dampers and grilles to serve the whole 2nd floor.

Client: Power Station

Working with the refurbishment contractor, we undertook a series of new air conditioning and heat recovery ventilation installations across two floors.

With the works being undertaken on a power plant site key our key focus was health & safety. With meticulous planning and extensive Risk & Method Statements we  were able to navigate the H&S protocols of the power plant, adjusting our procedures and practices to complete the works in a timely, yet safe, manner.

Our installations comprised of 2no Daikin R32 Heat Recover VRV heat pump air conditioning systems. The final design comprising 4-way blow cassettes and wall mounted indoor units, of varying capacity, to suit the layout rooms sizes. We also installed a Daikin Wall Mounted AC system to the  Server room. Fresh air and simultaneous extraction is being delivered to each floor via VAM2000 MVHR systems linked to ductwork, dampers and grilles across both floors. Each system fitted with a heater battery for improved winter efficiency.

Project time frame: 2 months.
